The House
Set in Idyllic, North Wales Walshaw house and Walshaw Lodge are long established residential homes for the elderly. We have a reputation as a provider of quality care and all of our staff are highly trained to meet with the very best standards.
Our Servicer User's charter outlines the high expectations we have of our staff and the day-to-day running of the House.
We are able to advise and support familes and service users with information on care fees. Largely due to our advice and support, many of our service users pay nothing to 50% of the fees.

Each room is large and spacious with either ensuite or washbasin and vanity unit, set out to form a private bed sitting room. There are two comfortable lounges, a separate dining room and a sun lounge. A five-person passenger lift is provided for ease and convenience to all floors.
Good home cooking using fresh produce is provided with a choice of menu. Breakfast can be taken in bed if so wished and early morning tea is always available in the dining room. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and special diets are catered for. Our Home is registered with Denbighshire County Council as a Private Residential Home and we welcome their inspection at all times. It is the sincere wish and hope of the proprietors that our residents come to look upon Walshaw House as their own home, shared by a caring and responsible family. Our emphasis is placed on informality and a happy atmosphere throughout.
Family and visitors are encouraged to drop in and there are no fixed visiting hours. Promoting an effective partnership with relatives and friends, being open and fair, consulting and involving all in promoting choice to ensure the highest standards of Quality Care for our family of service users.
The Staff
Mrs Lamb is a qualified nurse who specialises in the care of the elderly. Our staff are trained to the National Vocational Training Standard NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4. We are extremely proud of our standing within the community for our reputation as a provider of quality care.
In addition to our care staff we also have the benefit of diversional therapists who encourage and assist our residents, with regular visiting physiotherapist, dentist, optician, chiropodist, hairdresser; and doctors from all the local surgeries, with whom we have excellent relationships. We offer a counselling service with information on such things as fees, funding and state benefits. This service is of course free and without obligation. There are Churches, shops and a post office in close proximity. We are on a direct bus route to the towns of Rhyl and Prestatyn.
Religious needs are catered for with 'in house' services. WALSHAW HOUSE offers a choice of both single and companion rooms, all tastefully decorated and furnished. Residents are welcome to make their rooms their own and are encouraged to bring with them personal possessions.
